Compounding pharmacy vetting done for you: only 9% of pharmacies pass
Clinics can't easily tell which compounding pharmacies to trust, and vetting each one takes weeks; the fix is a marketplace that vets pharmacies before they're listed. AffinityRx does the vetting for you across five areas (compliance, product, track record, market feedback and operations), and only 9% of the compounding pharmacies it reviews pass. If a listed pharmacy receives an FDA warning letter or recall, AffinityRx notifies clinics and lets them switch that pharmacy off.

The five areas AffinityRx vets
AffinityRx reviews every pharmacy in five areas before it can take an order, which is why only 9% pass.
- Compliance.State licensures, USP <795>, <797> and <800>, and certifications including LegitScript, PCAB, ACHC and NABP.
- Product.Third-party certificates of analysis (COAs), sterility and endotoxin testing, and beyond-use dates (BUDs).
- Track record.FDA Form 483s, recalls, FDA actions and the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) background.
- Market feedback.Clinic and patient ratings and reviews and public threads such as Reddit.
- Operations.Shipping times, stock reliability and cold-chain validation.
What happens after a pharmacy is listed
AffinityRx keeps vetting after approval, so clinics hear about problems before they affect patients.
- Warning letters and recalls. If a pharmacy receives an FDA warning letter or recall, AffinityRx notifies clinics and adds it to the pharmacy profile. Clinics can switch that pharmacy off in their portal, and failover sends orders to their next favorite.
- Documents on request. Public credentials such as license numbers and accreditation proof are on each pharmacy profile; backing documents such as COAs are available on request.
- State eligibility on every order. AffinityRx applies state board rules so an order only goes to a pharmacy licensed for the patient's state.
- Ratings and reviews. Pharmacy ratings and reviews inside AffinityRx are coming soon.
The prescriber stays responsible for prescribing decisions; AffinityRx makes sure the pharmacy filling them has been vetted.
Why done-for-you vetting matters
AffinityRx vetting saves clinics weeks of document chasing and removes the risk of choosing on price alone.
Vetting one compounding pharmacy properly means collecting licenses, accreditations, COAs and inspection history, then checking them against FDA and state board records. Few clinics have time to do that for several pharmacies. AffinityRx does it once for every clinic on the platform and passes only 9% of the pharmacies it reviews, so a clinic can pick the lowest price on AffinityRx without re-vetting the pharmacy.
